Our Ministries in Moldova

Called to serve God as missionaries in 2005, we spent two years training at Redcliffe College in Gloucester. During that time, the Lord placed Moldova on our hearts and, after a visit, we accepted an invitation to work alongside the local church in the rural west of Moldova. We worked in Dancu from 2007 to summer 2012, and since autumn 2012 we have been based in Răzeşi.

We work in partnership with local Baptist churches, as well as like-minded Christian organisations from the UK, such as Breadline (a Christian development organisation), Link to Hope (a British charity working across Eastern Europe, formerly Link Romania) and ChildAid.

So far, our ministries in Dancu, Pogăneşti and Răzeşi have included:
  • advising on economic development projects to lift families out of poverty
  • launching appeals to meet specific community needs, e.g. building a barn, community centre, etc.
  • outreach through English teaching, football coaching, music tuition, etc.
  • youthwork, including groups for teenagers and adolescents, and various summer camps
  • preaching in churches and at evangelistic events, e.g. in prisons
  • visiting and encouraging families in Dancu and neighbouring villages
  • mentoring and supporting young Christians
  • hosting short-term mission teams from the UK
  • organising practical support, free meals, and other help for vulnerable people
